My sister and I talking about crying at TV shows after finishing Fullmetal Alchemist (I cried)

  • Me: I cried at Doctor Who. Doctor Who broke me. Also Buffy. Jesus you don't even know how much I cried at Buffy.
  • Dani: I think we're switching or something because I used to cry at everything.
  • Me: Oh yeah?
  • Dani: Yeah, I didn't cry at the end of Bleach.
  • Me: Bleach ended?
  • Dani: No, that's why I didn't cry.

Day 16

Write About Your Family

My dad was born and raised in Guilderland, New York, a suburb of Albany. He and his brothers got into lots of dangerous and illegal shenanigans as kids and they were awesome. He’s very Catholic. He is the reason I am interested in the things I am. One of my favorite pictures is one of me as an infant, holding onto his knee to stand as he plays the Legend of Zelda on NES. He’s been taking me to concerts since before I could talk, and is generally a cool guy.

My mom is probably the most generous person I’ve ever met. All she does is give to my siblings and me. She grew up on the eastern shore in Maryland (hick town). She loves the show Alias and makes the best iced tea and potato salad. She’s very type A and organized. She believes in me and wants me to do my best. I love her very much.

Rocky is my brother. He is 18 and a punk. He listens to weird electronic music and is going to VT next year to learn to be an engineer. We used to fight a lot when we were little, but we’re best bros now.

Danielle is 14. She loves anime, Pokémon, and Final Fantasy. She also likes to write. Next year, she’ll be a freshman at the high school I went to. I think that’s really weird. She spends way too much time on the computer and she procrastinates a lot. She’s also kind of judgmental and crazy, so that’s not cool. I have a hard time thinking of her as anything but a little girl.

Nicholas is 7 and has down syndrome. He doesn’t talk yet, but he’s still very verbal. He’s a menace to our home, but is the sweetest kid ever. I post photos of him every so often. He’s super cute and he’s the best.

My dad is the one in the smiley face sweatshirt. His hand is on the shoulder of his brother, Chris and Steve is in front. I love this picture beyond words.
